The Video Conferencing Revolution

Detailed legal arguments often cannot be conveyed in a written reply. The hearing is your chance to speak to the Registrar directly.

No Travel to Chennai

Since 2020, hearings are conducted via Video Conferencing. You can sit in our office in Kochi while our attorney presents your case to the Hearing Officer in Chennai or Mumbai.

Immediate Orders

Often, the Hearing Officer decides on the spot. If convinced, they will move the application to "Accepted & Advertised." If not, they may ask for more written submissions.

The Strategy of Adjournments

Sometimes, you need to buy time (e.g., to gather 10-year-old invoices).

Form TM-M

You can request an adjournment, but the Registry is strict. You generally get a maximum of 2 adjournments.

3-Day Rule

You must file the request at least 3 days before the hearing. Ignoring a hearing notice leads to immediate "Abandonment" of your application. Reviving it after that is difficult and costly.
